RW-A01 battle droid was basic three-legged droid design which was used in the production of the several battle droid models. Elements based on Rakata technology have been incorporated into the design. Full production ID for this design was droid.battledroid.warbot_rakata_a01. All models had a heavy cannon mounted in the right arm and a 14-barrel weapon container in the left hand, which could be used both to install repeating cannon or missile launcher. It also had a twin-barreled heavy cannon mounted on its torso, which required the droid to crouch down to increase its stability. This design also allowed the installation of a wide range of additional weapons, systems and protective shields. Dread Guard Eradication Droids which were based on this design were the backbone of the droid force used by the Dread Guard
